A Unique Opportunity to Own a
Slice of Slot Machine History
With Genuine Links to Organised Crime
in the 1940's
This is the only known Matched set of all the versions of the Jennings Standard Chief club Consol slot machine known to exist. They date from1949 and are completely unrestored, in pristine condition and all working and paying as they should.
The set has been housed in the same private collection in the USA for the past 40+ years and the owner has finally decided it's time for them to move on to a new home and has asked us to offer the set for sale. Please note the owner will not split the set as it is so unique. The set consists of a 5c,10c,25c,50c, and the rare silver dollar. All show the correct denominations and are running on the correct coinage.
Carlos Marcello
The present owner bought this set of machines direct from the original owner who had them on display in his mansion ever since he bought them in 1949.
That original owner was none other than Sicilian family mafia boss Carlos Marcello (AKA Calogero Minacore) (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Marcello ) long time organised crime boss of the Lousiana area and implicated in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. In 1949 he was importing illegal slot machines from New York crime boss Frank Costello and this set of machines comes from that collaboration. The current owner of these machines bought them, in person, direct from Marcello over 40 years ago shortly after Marcello came out of prison and not long before he died. The machines have never been in service since they arrived in Lousiana in 1949.
